Școala Gimnazială Anima
Academic Program for the 2026–2027 Academic Year
Școala Gimnazială Anima nurtures children in a space where thorough learning gains meaning through a genuine care for balance, where nature remains a quiet teacher, culture opens new perspectives, and technology is used as a tool, not a goal. Family remains the starting point, the community offers support along the way, and together they shape an environment in which each child grows with harmony, curiosity, and a true sense of presence in the world.
Școala Gimnazială Anima is authorized by ARACIP for primary and secondary level and is included in the school network of Sibiu municipality and is a registered Cambridge school. Starting with the 2026-2027 school year, the school offers two lines of education for the primary cycle: the Romanian line and the international Cambridge line.
Within the Cambridge international line, we offer the Cambridge curriculum with teaching in English and optional teaching of the Romanian language.

Assessment Principles
Global Assessment
Provides a comprehensive view of each child’s journey, not only their academic results. It looks at development across academic, relational, emotional, and independence levels.
We assess knowledge and competencies, focusing on what the child understands and is able to apply. Grades reflect progress in learning and help track each child’s academic development. Each child has individual learning goals, and their progress is measured against these.
Teaching and Learning Principles
Ceea ce urmărim este ca elevul să fie implicat activ în învățare. Aceasta înseamnă că mintea lui rămâne concentrată și impOur aim is for each student to be actively engaged in learning. This means their mind remains focused and consciously involved in the thinking process, regardless of the activity.
The child processes information, asks questions, makes connections, and tests their understanding. This can take place in various contexts, such as listening to a lesson, solving problems independently, engaging in practical tasks, exploring individually, taking part in discussions, or experimenting. In essence, it is not the form of the activity that defines active learning, but the fact that the student is thinking actively, rather than passively receiving information. We use a range of teaching approaches, including debates, project-based learning, open-ended workshops, experimentation, and collaborative learning, all adapted to the children’s age.
Debate
Children learn to express their ideas with clarity and confidence, but also to support them with reasoning. Just as important, they learn to listen, to consider different perspectives, and to weigh them thoughtfully. Through debate, they develop critical thinking, active listening, and the ability to engage in meaningful dialogue.
Project-Based Learning
Children engage with real-world themes in a hands-on, structured way. They explore complex questions, connect ideas across subjects, and create meaningful outcomes such as presentations, experiments, exhibitions, or action plans. Working in teams, they take on different roles and learn to collaborate effectively. This approach helps them move beyond theory, applying what they learn in real and relevant contexts.
Free Learning
In open learning workshops, teachers create a space where children can explore freely and discover at their own pace, without rigid structures or imposed frameworks.
